Pot Pie for a Crowd

Our 4th recipe to review from Bake the Seasons is on page 217; Beef and Stout Pot Pie.

Now I know this is a winter recipe, but who doesn’t love a good pot pie anytime of the year.

I skipped the biscuit topping and went for a more traditional puff pastry top.

The Results

My rating of this recipe is 5 out of 5. It’s a great meal to serve on a cold fall day. I also made 2 individual pot pies to test a different method. With my large pot pie the puff pastry was quite soggy on the bottom and too brown on the top. With the single serving pot pies I baked the puff pastry separately and added close to the end of the pot pie baking time. This method worked beautifully.
